Open Your Own Clinic
This 12 minute web based presentation provides an overview for how interested stakeholders can own and operate an internationally branded conflict resolution clinic. It addresses the monetary and emotional impacts of conflict within interpersonal, workplace and international arenas to illustrate how mediation can alleviate costs and bring peaceful, sustainable resolution. It also introduces the Accord Model and explains how alternative conflict resolution and mediation provide a pathway for disputants to jointly decide how to make and keep the peace between them. Once an MwB Clinic Owner identifies a specific location for their clinic and enters into a test license agreement with MwB, the MwB Clinic Owner is responsible for:
- presenting a Clinic Marketing Analysis and Plan to MwB, tailored to the Owner’s specific region, to effectuate the registration of an initial 60 students in order to fund the requisite start-up technology and training by MwB.
- conducting their clinic in accordance with MwB standards and specifications and shall insure that the clinic is operated in a professional manner, with timely reporting and accurate record-keeping using the Balanced Scorecard system.
- operating its program in compliance with all test license agreement guidelines, as well as all applicable laws and ordinances, and is responsible for obtaining and maintaining any and all licenses or other approvals as required by law to conduct the program.
- offering only those services, programs and products specifically recognized as, or related to, the program as described in the MwB Program Manual and as taught in MwB’s initial orientation program, unless the Clinic Owner has requested and received prior written approval from MwB.
- completing any and all continuing ADR education and training programs as prescribed by MwB, including any regional or national conferences conducted by MwB, and shall be responsible for all travel, lodging and other living expenses incurred while attending any such conferences.
